Michael is an award-winning illustrator, whose work has represented popular culture and world politics alike with a steady and skilled hand. For Michael, like many artists, after a 30-year career, retirement simply means not working quite as much. Still exercising his wit, he continues to bring us fresh and innovative work that sometimes confuses the eyes, provokes our senses, and stirs our imaginations.
upalaPress is the exclusive distributor of these prints. Michael is always producing new work for us so the selection may not be the same when you come back.
The works that you see here were designed specifically to be reproduced as prints. The original works often contain hundreds of components sometimes starting from original etchings, wood cuts, watercolor painting and drawings. Michael hand-assembles the pieces much like a jigsaw puzzle and then mounts them for printing onto coated stock that is guaranteed to last 50 years. Each unmatted print is signed by the artist.
